Marzocchi conquers the World Championship

Two world titles with Yamaha and Ducati to the Emilian company

The 70s mark a golden period for the Marzocchi both in innovation manufacturing and in participation in major worldwide competitions.

The development of the front axle suspensions for Motocross followed, as well as the AG Strada rear shocks with separated gas reservoir, and the ZTi Magnesium front forks helped Marzocchi to gain worldwide fame. The latter were assembled as OEM forks on KTM, SWM, Fantic Motor and Montesa motorcycles.

In the 1975 Johnny Cecotto wins the World Championship title with the Yamaha Diemme motorbike 350 cc.

Yamaha is a leading company manufacturing excellent motorcycles.

Three years later Ducati on the podium

Three years later, in 1978, it was Mike Hailwood‘s turn to win the world title with the Ducati 900SS on the Isle of Man.

That of 1978 was a triumph, as sensational as unexpected, forming the basis for the great launch of the Bolognese twin-cylinder engines all over the world.
