Big motorcycle manufacturers seal the deal with Marzocchi

1950s, the boom for transport on two wheels

The economic boost of Italy and the consequent increased use of two-wheel transportation vehicles, led to new models of suspensions that soon were mounted on medium weight motorcycles such as Mondial, Ducati, Moto CM, Maserati… We are in 1952, only 3 years after the first hydraulic integral suspension by Marzocchi.

Marzocchi started making suspensions for motorcycle races, and using high quality test benches, results achieved were quickly turned into the mass production.

In 1953, Idroflex manufacturing was halted, while the front and rear suspensions were stepped up.
Marzocchi enters the world of competitions - Tarquinio Provini - Marzocchi Motor

The first world trophy in a competition

The Mondial is immediately a winner: the bikes of the same displacement up to that moment are all with two-stroke engines and cannot hold a candle to Mondial.

The future champions Remo Venturi and Tarquinio Provini started racing with this bike.

In fact in 1957 Tarquinio Provini won the World Championship with his Mondial Bialbero 125 cc.

The event is exceptional: it is the only production motorcycle to win a world Grand Prix.
